What Is Going On With SJax?
October 10th, 2009 | by jruss |As the Warriors prepare for their fourth pre-season game tonight, outside, against the Phoenix Suns, there is something that keeps nagging at me. What is going on with Stephen Jackson? Last night, he had five fouls and a technical in the first half. He played 9 total minutes and had 6 points. This was his second technical foul in four pre-season games.
Is his off-court frustration with the Warriors manifesting itself on the court? Is he trying to force management’s hand into trading him? Is he showing his general displeasure by forcing Nellie to sit him? If any of these scenarios are true then Jax is only hurting himself. How is his behavior going to make him more tradable or make any team want to acquire him? We know Monta’s not happy but at least he’s playing hard. I guess time will tell if the W’s can unload him and his contract or if he’s going to be a pouty star like he has been on other teams…
