Quick Stats from Warriors Cast-offs

November 19th, 2009 | by jruss |

Given the recent exile of Stephen Jackson, I was curious to see how some of the other Don Nelson dog-house exiles are doing on their new, respective teams. Below is a quick glance at former Warriors that have been traded away over the last couple of years. Stephen Jackson has only played two games for Charlotte but is averaging 19.5 points (3 more than he averaged with the W’s this year) with 7 rebounds (3 more than with the W’s). Here’s a look at some other players:

Al Harrington (Knicks) – Averaging 19.5 points with 5.5 rebounds. However, he is only shooting 23% from the three point line.

Jamal Crawford (Hawks) – Averaging 16.1 points per game with 2.8 assists for the 10-2 Atlanta Hawks.

Jason Richardson (Suns) – Averaging 16.8 points per game with 5.5 rebounds shooting over 50% and 44% from three point land.

Marco Belinelli (Raptors) – Averaging 9.8 points per game with 1.6 assists and shooting almost 49% from three point land.

I can’t help but wonder when I look at this list which player I would not want on this team and which players would not be upgrades over the current starters. The only one I can think of right now is that I’d probably still want Monta starting over Crawford but it sure would be nice to have Crawford on the bench. And I would still prefer Morrow over Belinelli but he’s another guy it wouldn’t be bad to have. At least he’d get more PT than Devean George
