The Golden State Gimpy’s
January 15th, 2010 | by jruss |With what-could-have-been Brandon Jennings and his Milwaukee Bucks coming into town tonight, the Warriors will be without the services of Ronny Turiaf, CJ Watson and Vladimir Radmonovic. Can’t say I’m torn up over no V-Rad but Ronny being out hurts, especially since Biedrins has been playing way under his potential and CJ being out isn’t great from a depth standpoint.
Add those injured W’s to the growing list that includes Anthony Randolph, Kelenna Azubuike, Raja Bell, and Brandon Wright and you’ve got half of the Warriors starting day roster hurt. I know that some teams just don’t get lucky with injuries but that is absolutely crazy!
This is going to be a very interesting test for Stephen Curry, who got absolutely lit up by Jennings last time in a game that I’m sure all Warriors fans remember (55 points might ring a bell). I think Curry has come a long way so I’m not too worried but Jennings can be streaky for sure.
This is also going to provide an opportunity for Biedrins to start playing like the Biedrins we know and love. Going up against Australian scrub Andrew Bogut should make for an interesting match-up but the Warriors front-line is so depleted, it will be very intriguing indeed.
Hold on to your your band-aids and crutches, folks.
