Golden State Will Represent at All-Star Game

January 27th, 2010 | by jruss |

First off, no it’s not Monta Ellis – not yet and probably not at all. However, rookie Stephen Curry has been selected to represent the Rookie team in the annual Rookie/Sophomore game.

Curry will play alongside Sacramento Kings Tyreke Evans (ROY Favorite) and Omri Casspi as well as Detroit Piston, Jonas Jerebko, the “55 Man” Brandon Jennings, T-Wolves G Jonny Flynn, Thunder G James Harden and Spur F/C DeJuan Blair.

They will be annihilated by sophomores Michael Beasley, Eric Gordon, Kevin Love, Brooke Lopez, Danilo Gallinari, Russell Westbrook, Marc Gasol, and O.J. Mayo.

The good news is that the Rookies will probably be behind by so many points that Curry will have the green light to shoot – a lot and might be able to rack up some serious points. The teams do call into light that this year’s best rookies are the guards. And, David Thorpe of Scouts Inc. has Curry listed as the #2 rookie in his weekly rankings behind Tyreke Evans and above Brandon Jennings.

Nice to see Curry getting some love!
